Founder and Lead Consultant
Calli Christenson founded CLC College Prep Services in 2010. Prior to college consulting, she worked in undergraduate admissions, most recently serving as the Director of Undergraduate Admissions and Recruiting at Vanguard University of Southern California. She transitioned to independent counseling out of a passion to help students discover their potential and meet their college admission goals.
Calli finds great joy in mentoring students in a one-on-one setting. She enjoys developing relationships with families as she provides the resources and guidance they need to successfully navigate the college admission process. Her curriculum includes everything from learning style assessments, to building college lists, to financial aid guidance. Through each step of the process, Calli's value on higher education is communicated through the personal attention she gives to her students.
Many of Calli's students attend highly selective colleges across the country, but her primary focus is to help her students choose colleges that will help them meet their academic and career goals, while fostering personal growth. Calli has visited over 100 colleges to learn more about academic culture and special programs. She has also developed a team of outstanding test prep tutors to help her students perform at the top level on college entrance exams.
Calli holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. She is a Professional Member of the Independent Education Consultants Association (IECA) and holds a Certificate in Independent Educational Consulting from the University of California, Irvine. She is a member of the National Association of College Admission Counseling (NACAC), Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA), Texas Association for College Admission Counseling (TACAC) and is a 2011 graduate of the IECA Summer Training Institute at Swarthmore College.
